Holistic Nutrition

Holistic nutrition is about improving your relationship with food and finding long term wellness solutions that fit your lifestyle.

Food, and the nutrients in food, are the building blocks of the body;  without the right materials, our bodies cannot properly heal themselves and thrive. So many of the problems we experience ultimately come back to what we eat, and more specifically, how we eat.

A holistic nutritionist can work with you to develop a nutrition plan tailored around your lifestyle and needs.  Despite the popular belief, which suggests that “eating right” or “eating healthy” means turning every meal into a joyless chore, good nutrition doesn’t have to be dull or difficult.

In fact, enjoying your food is a vital part of good nutrition and optimal digestion. It’s the anticipation of food that activates your digestive system and causes your mouth to water. If you’re not enjoying your food, then, no matter how nutritious it may be on paper, your body won’t be able to use most of those nutrients.

A good nutrition plan, created specifically for you by a qualified holistic nutritionist, will help you get healthy, stay healthy, and enjoy your food more.

Holistic Nutrition can help with:

  • Fertility, infertility and pregnancy – optimizing fertility and more.

  • Women’s health – PMS, menstrual regulation, perimenopause, menopause, etc.

Let food be thy medicine.

How do I know if holistic nutrition can help me?

Nutrition is such a fundamental part of health and wellbeing that everyone can benefit from improving their nutrition. If you have any concerns about your current nutrition, don’t hesitate to contact us.

What can I expect from my first session?

Your first appointment will last about 90 minutes and begin with a thorough intake, including current concerns, assess underlying conditions, review any medications, supplements or herbal medicine you may be taking as well as review general health.

Your practitioner may ask you to complete a 7 day food journal and will ask you to complete an additional assessment to help provide a comprehensive understanding of where you’re at currently.

Each Thursday you will receive an email containing information, a follow up, an opportunity to catch up/review information you’ve previously received and/or journaling prompts.  These emails help you to build a strong foundation based on critical healthy habits that will support you through all stages of life.  Building these habits takes time.  Your practitioner will support you through each step and is there to help you overcome roadblocks and challenges that may arise.

Once your practitioner has received the completed assessment package (given to you in your intake appointment), you will receive a full treatment plan by email in 4-5 business days.  This plan will provide you with information about recommended supplements (including how they will help support your health goals), lifestyle tips/tricks and/or changes, foods that will be beneficial in supporting your health goals and any other information you may need.

What can I expect from follow up sessions?

Your second visit will last about 60 minutes and should take place 3-4 weeks after your initial appointment.  In this appointment, we will discuss your treatment plan, any of the informational emails you’ve received and any questions you may have.

Following appointments should be scheduled every 4 weeks to allow you time to begin to implement the plan and the information you’re receiving via email.  These appointments are designed to address any concerns you may have, celebrate the progress you’ve made and to help you understand how your body works so you can best support yourself and achieve your goals.
