How is this different from herbal medicine?

Acute care herbal medicine deals with infections, injuries and other short-lived issues. If you have a chronic or on-going issue, it is best to make an appointment to discuss your issues in depth and work with your herbalist to formulate a long-term treatment plan.

Should I come in if I’m sick?

While we love our patients, we don’t always love the infections that might come along for the ride with an in-person clinic visit. Thanks to our virtual appointments, we can see you from the comfort of your own home if you are infectious.

Can you treat children?

Yes, we are more than happy to help. Herbal medicine is gentle and safe for children and even babies.

How does the appointment work?

During an in-person visit, the herbalist will assess your symptoms and then create a preparation(s) specifically for you while you wait. They will then discuss the preparation and how to use it, as well as giving you written instructions.

If your visit is virtual, your herbal medicines will be prepared within 24 hours, and you will be contacted to arrange for pick up at our clinic.

What should I tell my herbalist?

It is important that you disclose all health issues that you have, even if you are not seeking treatment for them. This ensures that a medicine prepared for an acute condition does not exacerbate a chronic condition.

You must also inform your herbalist of all medications, herbs, and supplements you are taking, so we can avoid any potential unwanted interactions.
